EWS1 Quote

From Opening-Up to EWS1 Sign-Off

Whether your property needs a straightforward EWS1 or a full FRAEW assessment, we provide a complete end-to-end service across the UK — from surveys and intrusive opening-up works through to fire engineer assessment and final sign-off.

  • Complete End-to-End Service – Surveys, opening-up works, access, reporting and fire engineer sign-off.
  • Nationwide Accredited Fire Engineers – Qualified professionals for EWS1 and FRAEW assessments.
  • PAS 9980:2022 Compliant – Intrusive investigations and assessments carried out in accordance with the required methodology.

Some buildings can go straight to an EWS1, while others require a FRAEW first. Once we have your building details, we conduct a desktop survey to determine the appropriate next steps.

What Your EWS1 Quote Includes:

Complete End-to-End EWS1 Service

We manage the entire EWS1 process from initial review through to final sign-off. Your quote can include access, equipment, intrusive opening-up works, reporting and fire engineer assessment, with one team coordinating the process so you don’t have to manage multiple contractors or third parties.

Every EWS1 survey is assessed and signed off by fully accredited professionals, including Chartered Fire Engineers (IFE, CEng) and Chartered Surveyors (RICS, CABE, CIOB), with full professional indemnity cover. Assessments are delivered in line with RICS, UK Finance and PAS 9980:2022 standards, providing compliant, recognised and defensible reporting.

  • Desktop Review – We assess your building information to establish the appropriate assessment route.
  • Access & Equipment – We coordinate MEWPs, scaffolding and other access requirements.
  • Opening-Up Works – Intrusive investigations can be arranged to establish the wall build-up, insulation, cavities and fire-stopping provisions.
  • Fire Engineer Assessment & Sign-Off – Every EWS1 assessment is reviewed and signed off by an appropriately qualified and accredited fire engineer.
  • Reporting & Recommendations – Clear, professional reporting and documentation for lenders, building owners and other stakeholders, with recommendations for any further action where required.
